The information on DFC is updated on a regular basis. First, the facility characteristic information on DFC, that includes such items as the facility name, address, phone number and type of dialysis services it offers, is updated monthly.
Second, the quality information listed on DFC shows how well facilities dialyze their patients (dialysis adequacy), and manage their patients' anemia (a common occurrence in patients with kidney failure). This data is updated annually.
